SurvivalPick analysis
Our assessment
Being prepared to ignite appropriate outdoor fires can help support an evacuation campsite or an approved outdoor cooking setup. Inflame's 24-piece natural wood starter package is a convenience item that can be stored with matches, dry kindling and other cooking supplies. Instead of improvising ignition materials during wet or windy weather, you can have dedicated starter pieces already staged with your kit.
Good preparedness practice is to keep ignition items dry and away from children, then learn how to use them with suitable fuel in a controlled outdoor setting. Fire itself is not always an appropriate response to an emergency, particularly during local burn bans or inside buildings without safe venting. A fire starter is best viewed as one small component of a responsible outdoor cooking and warmth plan.
SurvivalPick verdict: Outdoor campsite fire starting and properly equipped emergency cooking.
